~ No more qualifying heats - too complicated to manage and of little value given the number of abandonments last year.
~ The best organization yet of the Etapes du Tour. Our experience shows, especially in terms of security where the road was almost completely closed off for the entire body of riders.
~ Creation of a trophy for the most animated town. first winner: Beurières in the Puy de Dôme.
~ Two villages were particularly successful - St Galmier on the Hippodrome and St Flour on the Allées G. Pompidou in the upper part of St Flour.
